On
this Mural the landscape is most definitely the center of attention. Although
there are many small detailed images of various objects which add to the enhancement
of the scene, the landscape is the focal point. The stone arches in the foreground
provide the mural with depth which creates the illusion of a far distant landscape.
Vibrant
colors combined with
the proper shading gives this mural almost a
surreal
sense
of tranquility, which was the objective behind the creation of this mural. Handpainted
in the Operating Room where Doctor Robert Reiffel performs his medical procedures,
viewing this mural will most certainly help put his patients at ease. It is
apparent a patient's well being is one of Dr. Reiffel's main concerns.
